Using Some Phrases Might Spoil Your Profile!
Are you planning to apply for new job? Well avoid using the phrases like “proactive track record” and “dynamic team player”, even if you possess these qualities.
According to business networking website ‘LinkedIn’ words and phrases like “problem solver” and “dynamic” has been used excessively in CVs by job aspirants. This website already has 85 million members. It also found out the word “motivated” as an overused catchphrase all over UK whereas in US the phrase like “extensive experience” is used more often as reported by ‘Daily Mail’.
LinkedIn which studied user profiles found out that there was much use of words like “proactive” and “entrepreneurial” in various resumes. The use of such stereotyped words would make your resume repetitive and boring. This will lessen your chance of getting a job because bosses will not find anything extra on your resume.
A spokesperson from the website was of the opinion that, use of such words would do more harm on your resume or profile than any good. This can even wipe out probable chances of getting a job.
