Porsche’s 918 Spyder Hybrid Supercar

A new hybrid super car is being developed by Porsche, the company decided to make a limited number of this car. These new hybrid super cars entitled the 918 Spyder. The 918 Spyder car is powered by both type of engine petrol and electric motor and it will be revealed at this year’s Geneva car show and it will be based on a prototype.
This hybrid super car can go from 0 – 62 mph in 3.2 seconds, it has top speed of 198 mph and will be able to travel up to 16 miles on battery power alone.
Porsche’s Carrera GT is going to be replaced by new hybrid sedan 918 Spyder. The cost of this car is about more than £400,000 and it will be the company’s most expensive car yet. The production of 918 Spyder will start when more than 1000 people agree to sign a declaration of interest to buy one, because board of Porsche decided this agreement. And nearly double number of names putted down.
The electric motor of this car will drive the front wheels while the back wheel will get power by both engines petrol and the remaining electric motor.
The fuel efficiency of this car is under five litre petrol for 100 miles and emits 70g/km of CO2. The pair of Electric motor of 160 KW will produce a combined 218 bhp with 3.4 litre V8 engine providing remaining 500 bhp.
The length of this hybrid car is same as the Boxster and Cayman but it’s wider than both cars but weight under 1500 kg. The body and shell are made from carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic.[/private]
