Positive-Anxiety

As per a new research it is found that training teens to develop positive attitude in them might be helpful for them to tackle anxiety effectively. Jennifer Lau From Oxford University an experimental psychologist says  if you wave someone standing on other side of the road and don’t get any response than you may think either they may have not recognized you are they are snubbing you. Those people having anxiety mostly think the latter interpretation.

Lau said that these negative thoughts in people drive and maintain the felling of low mood and anxiety in them, reports the journal Child Psychiatry and Human Development. Lau said according to an Oxford statement if people are able to change their negative way of thinking it would be beneficial for them to change their anxious mood.

According to Lau Of course, it’s normal for teenagers to be worried about exams, friends, social acceptance, and about the future generally.” She also added that sometimes in extreme cases children avoid going to school because of their anxious mood. And this is not just being a little bit worried.

From the school in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire nearly 36 healthy teenagers took part in the study and among them some were given training to boost their positive attitude while others were given negative attitude training.

Kids who received positive attitude positive training showed positive signs towards everything while those who received negative training showed negative signs towards everything.
