London : Prince William made a breathtaking choice. He will wear the military uniform on the day of his wedding. He will go for the globally famous scarlet colors used in the British army.

Many had predicted prince will wear the flight lieutenant uniform of the royal air force on the day of his marriage with Kate Middleton.  Apart from this, he is also the honorary colonel of Irish guards. He will wear the red tunic, the highest ranking uniform.

This was also referred to as recognition nod for the Irish guards who served in Afghanistan. In the present operation, there soldiers of the regiment have died.

The spokesperson of the palace of st James said, “It’s a personal preference what he chooses to wear but the main reason is it’s his senior honorary appointment in the army.”

The last royal wedding of the British Empire in which groom married in red was aunt of Prince William, Princess Anne and the captain mark Phillips at Westminster abbey in the year 1973.

Prince harry, the best man will wear uniform of the royals regiment and cavalry blues. Father Charles will wear admiral’s uniform of the royal navy complete with sword.
