A New Problem For The Just Released Kahn

Strauss-Kahn

When Strauss Kahn got released a few days back he must have taken a sigh of relief. There were speculations if he could affect the French politics or not. He was being thought out of ‘danger’. But now the news comes that he has to face another court case. It is again the charges of sexual assault.

The former head of IMF will face these charges in a French court. The accuser this time is a lawyer who says she will file a complaint against Mr. Kahn for attempted rape.

He was released from a house arrest recently when the hotel maid who accused him of having sexually assaulted her was found to mislead the court by contradictory statements.

The lawyer would accuse formally of trying to rape during an interview in 2002.

Before this news came, polls showed that voters were divided equally on whether Strauss Kahn should go for a political career again or not. But the news is certainly going to affect his prospects badly.

The accuser who serves a writer as a lawyer said that in 2002 she was invited by Kahn with a promise that he would give an interview to her. But when she reached the place he attempted a forced rape on her.

He had been a probable candidate for the presidency race slated to be held in 2012. Remove the past few months from his life and you will find in him a candidate who could not only contest but also outdo Nicolas Sarkozy.
