It is shocking but it’s true that in America alone, there is one case of child abuse is reported in every 10 seconds. It is believed that over 80% abusers are familiar with the kid.

Day by day, the number of such case has been increasing and has given a signal of abusive society without morals. According to the recent survey of WHO (the World Health Organization), one out of four girls and one out of seven boys have been regularly victim of neglect, psychological abuse, sexual abuse and physical abuse.

A way back, the case of child abuse had been recorded only 10% of today’s percentage. The reason may be the abuse case not as much as today and may be a kind of fear to exploit family reputation.

The recent data reveals that around 90% of child sexual abuse victims know the abuser or more likely to be acquaintances or relatives of their victim. The shocking data is that around 80% of the victims have suffered from at least one psychological disorder after sexual abuse.

Abused teens are less likely opt for safe sex protection measures and putting them at the greater risk of sexual transmitted diseases. Apart from America, developing nations like India has been recorded 53.22% child sexual abuse cases- among them 52% are boys and 47% girls.

Sexual abuse cases in all over the world are now becoming a rare case. A few strict steps need to be taken by the government in form powerful legislation.

There is also a need to break the silence. Moreover, parents need to awake and teach their children about different types of child abuse. Their lessons for moral and tips on protection greatly help to narrow down these cases.
