The “Rare” Teenage Talent Of Microsoft, Arfa Karim, No More!
The youngest ever professional of Microsoft dies at the age of 16.
Condolences started pouring in from all over the world soon after the death of teenage genius Arfa Karim, from Faisalabad, Pakistan. Bill Gates, the Microsoft founder, himself conveyed his condolences to the aggrieved family. Bill Gates had earlier also offered to pay for her treatment.

The amazing talent died due epileptic stroke complications on Saturday night at Combined Military Hospital, Lahore where she was admitted after she suffered the stroke followed by cardiac arrest on December 22.
She was kept on life support soon after for some days. Despite earlier reports of her progress she breathed her lost after severe complications that resulted into bleeding in her throat.
Funeral prayed, offered in Lahore, was attended by hundreds of people including Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, some prominent politicians, friends and relatives. Her body was laid to rest in her native village, Ram Dewali, near Faisalabad.
Arfa came to lime light in 2005 when she became the youngest ever Microsoft professional at the age of nine. She was called by Bill Gates to Microsoft’s headquarters in Redmond, Washington in 2006. She surprised many due to extensive knowledge of programs at such a tender age.

Bill Gates has since been a great fan of her. He even offered to pay the medical expenses of her treatment and even offered to shift her o US for better treatment which wasn’t possible because of her condition.
She always has been an “out of this world” girl for a number of achievements at a very young age. She made her country proud wherever she went. She attended Tech-Ed Developers conference in Barcelona in 2006.
She was awarded “Fatimah Jinnah Gold Medal” at the age of nine for her contribution and was also entitled with prestigious “pride of performance” award by President.
As a tribute to her, a permanent monument will be constructed at her grave and also the IT city of Karachi will be renamed as Arfa Karim IT Media City, Karachi.
