The two pioneering cancer institute first Cancer Genetics Unit at Tata Memorial Hospital’s (TMH) second Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) came up with a study that states that nature and nurture both plays a vital role. Lifestyle and ways of leaving plays a significant role in keeping out the reach of Cancer but nature is too responsible for the disease and in this case there is very less in the hand of people.

According to the study conducted by the two research center says that Human genes, decide further than the blood type and substantial individuality these genes also decide the risk for mounting diseases similar to cancer.

In a proposal to minimize the burden of Indian family cancer legacies, TMH has been prepared closely with over 1,000 Indian families surveying them and researching the keen requirement. The research team is focusing on the ways to avoid hereditary cancer syndromes.

This dedicated program helps the ways to define risk of cancer in better and far more advanced way. Cancer risks are checked up in the family by diagnosing hereditary cancers, the research team performs cancer risk evaluations based on every patient’s individual and relations related to cancer histories, and offers medical suggestions for their administration. Alternative for hereditary testing, premature detection, threat reduction and avoidance are discussed and are obtainable to the exaggerated families and the therapeutic union or organization.
