Saudi Arab Suspends Visas To Domestic Indonesian Workers

Saudi Arab will suspend visa to domestic workers from Indonesia. This can be called tit for tat game in economics. This statement came after government of Indonesia declared not to allow its citizens to go to Saudi Arab till human right conditions improve.
The gulf kingdom had beheaded Indonesian worker in previous month. She was responsible for killing wife of her employer. Because of this, Indonesia issued moratorium policy which is effective since first of august.
As per 2011 human rights report for domestic workers travelling to Saudi from Indonesia or elsewhere, “frequently endure forced confinement; food deprivation; and severe psychological, physical, and sexual abuse.”
Some have become international headlines. Doctors operated for three hours a maid who was hammered with nails and particles of metal by her employer.
There are 23 people from Indonesia on death row.
“When Indonesia froze migration of domestic workers to Malaysia in 2009 until a more protective Memorandum of Understanding could be concluded, recruiters from Malaysia turned to Cambodian workers instead.”
As per human rights watch, 1.5 million domestic workers from several countries in middle east and Asian belt work in Saudi.
