With the dominating play of the two centurions, Ian Bell and Kevin Pietersen, on Friday England is now on a commanding position to wrap the series by 4-0 against India.

On the very second day of the last test match at Oval England were 457 for the loss the captain Andrew Strauss, Opener Alastair Cook and star batman Kevin Pietersen at stumps.

Before getting out by part time bowler Suresh Raina, KP and Ian Bell (181 not out) had already demolished the chance of India. Both the centurions surpassed the earlier record of English batsmen (308, Graham Gooch and Allan lamb at Lords) against India putting on exactly 350 runs.

This superb innings of KP took him level his tons with team mates Alastair Cook and Andrew Strauss (19th tons). On the other hand, India’s bowling department looked toothless and unable to put any kind of pressure on the white men.

Though they started the second day very well by taking two early wickets of the openers (Strauss 40 and Cook 34), but after lunch everything went against India.
