After U.S. Sellout, iPad 2 Hits Overseas Market

iPad 2 SeriesFor the international launch of the iPad 2, hundreds of customers lined up at apple stores in New Zealand and Australia.

According to analysts around 1 million devices have been sold in the first weekend of the launch in U.S., however there is no certain idea about availability due to Japan’s tsunami and earthquake.

The company plans to roll out new Apple iPad 2 in the market such as Netherlands, Denmark, Italy, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Germany, Canada and Mexico.

The new iPad 2 is more fast and thin version. It has dual camera that allow video chatting. According to a backpacker from Canada, Alex Lee, “If it wasn’t for the iPad, I wouldn’t be in Australia right now. It’s like a habit. I’ve also lined up on Regent Street in London for the iPhone.

The retail price of the device in U.S. is $499 and in Australia starts at $568.

Steve Jobs, the chief executive said that, “experiencing amazing demand for iPad 2 in the U.S.” further he said “We appreciate everyone’s patience and we are working hard to build enough iPads for everyone.
