Smartphone Is The Preferred Platform For Videogames Developers

Most of the developers are publishing their own designed videogames in UK with Smartphone. According to a survey, it has been found that around forty seven percent games are self-published by developers and sixty seven percent are developed for Apple iPhone.
In social networking sites like Facebook, you can easily find self-published games. The demand of these sites is popular among people and developers want to target them for their videogames popularity.
It was shown in a report by TIGA’s State. They surveyed around 104 developers. Videogames becomes a large industry in UK and it contributes almost £1 billion in the Gross Domestic Product of the country.
But the industry is in threat of regional or national subsides and developers of other counties provide cheap videogames like Canada, South Korea, Australia, USA and France.
Many people are leaving the industry in UK and looking for jobs in abroad. The competition in global market is tough for them.
Dr Richard Wilson, CEO at the TIGA said “There are distinct advantages for games developers which operate in countries where there are subsidies” and then added to it “They are able to attract greater global investment and this cements the need for tax breaks in the UK for game developers”.
Developers can control their videogames in much better way when they self-publish them.
