Steve Mullings Is Disappointed As Tyson Gay Will Not Participate At Daegu

Jamaican sprint runner Steve Mullings showed his disappointment on losing fellow training partner America’s Tyson Gay due to injury. He encouraged Gay to keep his head up.
You should note that Gay and Mullings train under their coach Lance Brauman at Clermont, Florida. Gay pulled out of U.S. Championships due to hip injury. He will not able to participate in the World Championships at Daegu, to be held later in this summer.
Mullings is disappointed that his friend will not run for glory at Daegu as well.
He remarked, “Tyson Gay is like my brother. I feel really bad for him. He is a good competitor.”
Mullings along with fellow countrymen Asafa Powell, Yohan Blake and Usain Bolt – besides other top sprinters in the world will compete at world championships. He is keen to do well for his earlier teammate from Barton County College.
Mullings added, “He is a real good friend and real good person. “
He also said, “I am going to tell him I am going to go out there and do my best for him.”
