Suicidal Tendencies Decreasing Giving Hike In Domestic Violence: US Army Report
After a decade long war, US Army is suffering much from Post-traumatic Stress disorder. Some of them have witnessed the entire war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Though they are back to home now, they are suffering much from with lots of diseases and illness.
Among these post unrest in the psychology of US Army, PTSD is seemingly becoming prominent. This critical situation is counting a down in the suicidal tendencies among these wounded Army troop back in home.
But the worst part of the report is that being suffered from post-traumatic disorder, these army members are committing domestic violence and child abuse associated with alcohol crimes.
US Army Gen Mr. Chiarelli said that the total numbers of suicides has come to 278 in 2011 which is a down by 9% in 2010.
He added that commanders are getting more numbers of soldiers and to train them through substance abuse programme and driving out trainees for misconduct issues.
The Army General confirms that the same picture like 2006 of child abuse and domestic with increasing alcoholism is increasing in compound rates.
Beyond the official announcement there are some surprising facts and figures. Reports of other authentic sources say that soldiers are brought to hospital with suicidal tendency. This is numbers of soldiers are increasing overtime.
Screening and properly treatment is very much essential in these cases. The report says that its something really improving now. Among the 1, 26,000 PTDS cases, 3,500 are severe.
This hike is visible among the soldiers from the mid of 2011. But, the number of injuries that has been reported doesn’t satisfy the actual numbers.
