Trade And Rights To Be Discussed in German China Talks

Berlin: China and Germany will have a meeting and several business contracts will be dealt with. The premiers of both countries will sign cooperation pacts and deals worth euros.
Both economies in the global top 5 have witnessed trade volumes hit record of 184 billion dollars. The areas covered will be cars, aeronautics, chemicals and much more.
The foreign minister Guido Westerwelle said, “Of course you cannot separate trade and development from the issue of human rights, the rule of law, civil rights and also freedom for art and culture.”
“If things are discussed in a face-saving, reasonable way, you can talk about everything, even the most difficult questions.”
Germany welcomed release of hu and Ai but was not happy with media restrictions imposed on them. One german official said, “I think you have to put the word ‘release’ in quotation marks.”
There was a low in relationship between Germany and china because of Germany’s invitation of dalai lama. As per the estimates of analysts, china has purchased assets worth 40 billion euros this year. It is a 22 state cooperation pact and will be signed by 10 german and 13 Chinese ministers.
