Usain Bolt Is Aiming To Defend His World And Olympic Titles

After a narrow win on his return to track at Rome last week, Jamaican ace sprinter Usain Bolt now focuses on defending his Olympic and World titles.
Bolt will participate at a 100 meters race at the Golden Spike meet on its 50th edition on Tuesday. He is preparing for the world championships at Daegu, in South Korea from August 27 to September 4.
Bolt remarked, “It’s very important to me, these two coming years are going to make me a legend. I’ll be working hard, I’ll be trying to get back into form the rest of the season. I’m really focused and I’m ready to work hard.”
The superstar will compete at the meet in Ostrava for fifth time. This is a part of the World Challenge series of IAAF. He is appearing in the 100 meters event here for second time. He won the event in 2009 with a timing of 9.77 seconds but it was wind assisted.
He added, “Competion-wise, I am feeling better and confident after my last race. I’m ready to run as fast as possible.”
The Jamaican is aiming to run faster than the 9.91 seconds timing he clocked in Rome last week, where he defeated fellow athlete from Jamaica Asafa Powell.
He also said, “I’ll definitely want to go faster this race. Now, I’m really much much more relaxed, much much more focused.”
At Golden Spike, he faces fellow Jamaican athlete Steve Mullings. You should note that Mullings has the best timing of 9.89 this year.
Bolt feels Mullings is improving remarkably over the period of time and considers him as a very promising and talented athlete. He is looking forward to this race and pointed it would be a good competition.
Bolt is expected to participate in many European meets to be held this summer. This includes events in Monaco, Oslo and Paris. He will defend his world titles of 100 meters and 200 meters in Daegu.
