UV tattoos i.e. Ultra Violet tattoos or Black light tattoos are now a unique fashion trends. These tattoos are made using ultra violet ink. These UV ink are normal ink, but mix with fluorescent ink to give extra shine.

The tattoo made with UV ink glows under blue light and when it comes in normal light it is almost invisible. One can get different color of tattoo like in blue, red. Black, yellow but white are generally preferred. The reason is simple it looks great and is invisible in normal lightning.

In India and eastern continent it is new but in around the world it’s not the case with other part of the world. For instance in Thailand it’s quite common and you can easily find juvenile with this tattoo. When talked to one of the tattoo maker, he said “In my whole career, I have tattooed about 40 to 50 people with a UV tattoo”.

The reason is lack of awareness and a kind of fear that is engrossed in them. Secondly these types of tattoo only signs when there is blue light and blue lights are common in disco light.

However lack of awareness and lack of client’s make the bottle expire before its use. For safety measures these inks are first used on animal, seeing the reaction and response it is then tried on humans. People generally fear about skin cancer, if these tattoos are suited in the body. However, FDA has approved it.

A little care is needed to protect your tattoo for instance you should avoid ultra violet light exposure and using scented lotions and creams should not be used for the first three months as it may damage the ink.
