Valdano Believes His Team Deserved Victory Against Mallorca

Jorge Valdano, general manager of Real Madrid, feels his team deserved victory in their Spanish Primera Liga match against Mallorca on Sunday. Los Blancos gave a very good fight in the match which ended in a 0-0 draw.

After the match, Valdano described that his team could not maintain rhythm in the first half. He remarked, “We struggled to find our rhythm in the 90 minutes, and it was a very disjointed game. We have not had time to pay, because every few seconds the referee stopped the match.”

He added, “In the second half we clearly deserved to win, but we lacked precision in our finishing. These deficiencies are not normal in our players, but are normal at this time of the season. We must remember that sometimes, Cristiano and Higuain last season gave us more than 50 goals.”

He believes that his team is gaining confidence with every game. He also said, “It is too early to talk. We will gradually. We still have a number of games, and every day we find ourselves getting a little better.”
