New Version Of Chevrolet Volt Gets Car-Pool Lane Access

Chevrolet has released a new revised version of Plug-in-hybrid Volt. Chevrolet dealers are hoping that the new low-emissions version will attract buyers.

The car would be reach to California showrooms in March, according to GM spokesman Rob Peterson.

Rob Peterson said that in November the company began decrease allocating Volts to California in anticipation of introducing a new low-emissions version. Also Volt buyers would get $1500 state tax rebate with new package as Volt already qualifies for $7500 federal tax break.

Some Chevy dealers said that with first Volt in late 2010 they were disappointed because it did not for high-occupancy-vehicle status.

Now in the new version GM engineers added a secondary air-injection pump to car catalytic converter. The new pump would pipes air into the exhaust stream to strip out more pollutants.

Last year GM sold 7671 Volts in US and around one-quarter were sold in California.
