Warning Of Pakistani Prime Minister To United States
Islamabad, Pakistan (SHM News) – The tension between US and Pakistan has reached to a highest level. On Monday, the prime mister of Pakistan warned to US stating “no more business as usual”. This happened after an aircraft attack by NATO in which around 2 dozen Pakistani troops were killed.
With an exclusive interview with CNN, Yousuf Raza Gilani, the prime minister of Pakistan told that they are reevaluating their relationship with US. As per the NATO that airstrike was “tragic unintended” accident. He stated that the South Asian country like to maintain their relationship with US as they both have mutual understanding and old sovereignty.
Asked to Mr. Gilani, if still Pakistan has same respect for US, he replied “At the moment not”. And then he added a question in his statement “If I can’t protect the sovereignty of my country, how can we say that this is mutual respect and mutual interest?”
Taliban insisted Pakistan to reply the US about the deadly airstrike. And it’s one of the advisor warned Hamid Karzai that it can lead to conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Mr. Gilani pointed that an ancient of killing troops was like killing Osama Bin Laden. And said “You cannot win any war without the support of the masses and such sort of incidents makes people move away from this situation”.
Pakistan is a partner of United States to fight against terror in Afghanistan, and helping them to fight against al Qaeda. Authority personals of Pakistan turned back around three hundred trucks carried fuel to NATO. The prime minister said that the government is still thinking to take any decision and boycott the Bonn conference for Afghanistan’s future.
As per the two senior officials of US, an incident happened due to miss coordination. One official said that various shots were fired on the border from the side of Pakistan. And that created confusion among them. In a joint mission, troops of Afghanistan were working together with NATO on the border.
Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas, the military spokesman denied the report that Pakistani troops did not attack on helicopters of NATO. In a phone talked to Geo TV News, Mr. Abbas said that NATO helicopters started firing first to military camp.
He said, Pakistani soldiers immediately informed about it to headquarters and they gave the information to NATO authorities. And Pakistani troops just did retaliation fire to NATO aircraft.
Martin Dempsey, chairman of Joint Chiefs, Gen. acknowledged that the relationship between Pakistan and US was “troubled”. He said “We’ve had other moments before,” And added to his statement that “I’m hopeful that with the relationships we’ve built leader-to-leader and worked at over the past years, that we can find our way forward. But I understand the anger. I understand the concern”.
