Xavi Out Of Action Due To Calf Strain

Barcelona player Xavi will not be able to play the league game against Mallorca to be held coming weekend as he suffers from a little calf strain.

He got this injury in his team’s 2-1 win against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.

The midfielder played a crucial part in the victory. He helped in the building up of both the goals. As the match progressed he got discomfort in the left leg.

The stylish player completed the full ninety minutes. However, the medical staff of club assessed him later and it is confirmed that the Spanish player will be out of action for about ten days for healing the injury.

He joins the list of players who will miss the Saturday’s match. Goalkeeper Victor Valdes is already out due to knee problem. Skipper Carles Puyol is recovering from tendonitis while Dani Alves is suspended.
